On Friday, May 27, we celebrated Mother’s Day at the school with food, music, and dances. That following Saturday, Katie and I came downstairs as usual to wake the girls up, however we were greeted by one of the older girls with an unexpected surprise. She told us that we had a free day and that the older girls were going to take care of the little ones for us. Their only request was that we be home by 5:00. So we headed into the city for lunch and time in the plaza. When we returned at 5:00 the girls had the saloon all set and decorated for a party. They had made us dinner and prepared dances for us. |
